CB Title, based in Springfield, New Jersey and New York City, is seeking to hire an operations manager to direct and manage the day-to-day activities of a NY and NJ direct title and escrow organization. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the agency’s title production and real estate closing process, hiring, training and managing staff, building and maintaining profitable client relationships, delivering outstanding customer service, creating and achieving sales and profit goals and overseeing all company departments including title, accounting, escrow and sales.  The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in a title agency or real estate law firm, a comprehensive knowledge of the title and real estate closing process, and a stellar track record of building relationships and leading a successful team.

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage the entire title production and real estate closing process
  • Establish and manage target accounts in order to meet operational goals and achieve growth objectives
  • Maintain optimal production levels while consistently exceeding expectations
  • Create and maintain prosperous client relationships; deliver unparalleled customer service
  • Recruit, train, manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Direct all areas of human resources: hiring, training, terminations, performance appraisals, staff meetings
  • Collaborate with the team in developing, interpreting and implementing office policies and procedures
  • Audit current procedures to assess office efficiency
  • Responsible for adherence to operating budget guidelines regarding all revenue and expenses to ensure profitability
  • Oversee all company departments including title, accounting, escrow, and sales
  • Ensure that all departments comply with state and federal policies, procedures, and accounting requirements
  • Responsible for setting and achieving sales and profit goals
  • Produce and execute business and marketing plans
  • Accountable for the implementation and timing of cost-cutting measures to meet company profit objectives
  • Oversee facilities and office space management

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of management and directly related experience in title and escrow matters, title underwriting knowledge and ability to negotiate title
  • Outstanding knowledge in all areas of escrow and title operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Must be tech savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new programs
  • A proven track record of building thriving client relationships
  • A seasoned manager who excels in managing and inspiring a team
  • Stellar presentation skills and the ability to concisely communicate
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure, as well as the ability to continually multi-task
