Richard Schkolnick, Esq., of Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, PC in Summit, will present:  Zoning Best Practices: Matter Intake and Pitfalls with Public Notice. This seminar will present information on land use practice nuts & bolts and provide tips on new matter intake and process/pitfalls with your public notice (1 hour, 1 CLE credit)

Joel J. Reinfeld, Esq., of Joel Reinfeld Law in Englewood Cliffs, will present:  “NJ Ethics – A Refresher and Update” (1 Hour, 1 ethics CLE credit).

Richard Schkolnick, Esq., of Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, PC in Summit, is the past chair of the Land Use Section of the State Bar Association.  He has extensive experience providing solutions to property owners in complex land use and zoning matters. He has also served as counsel to local government agencies with respect to land use and zoning issues.  He also litigates land use cases. In addition to handling numerous prerogative writ matters, he secured a unanimous decision from the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of the Township of West Orange in the State’s seminal eminent domain case, Township of West Orange v. 769 Associates, LLC, 172 N.J. 564 (2002). Joel J. Reinfeld, Esq., has been a lawyer in Bergen County since 1983. He concentrates his practice on commercial transactions, commercial and residential real estate, as well as all types of civil and matrimonial litigation in both New Jersey and New York. He also handles a variety of the criminal and municipal court matters. Prior to re-starting his own Firm, Mr. Reinfeld was a Partner in Fischer Porter Thomas & Reinfeld of Englewood Cliffs, N.J. Mr. Reinfeld was also employed as the President of the Title Insurance Division of Valley National Bank. He has been a past Chairman of the District IIA Fee Arbitration Committee, which encompasses Northern Bergen County as well as a member of the District IIA Ethics Committee. Mr. Reinfeld is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a magna cum laude graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law where he taught a course on legal writing; was a Member and Editor of the Law Review; and, published an article. After law school, Mr. Reinfeld served as the first law clerk to United States District Judge George P. Kazen of the Southern District of Texas in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Reinfeld is a Member of the Bars of five (5) states, including New York and New Jersey. He is also actively involved with the University of Pennsylvania and Syracuse University Clubs of Northern New Jersey.
